I joined the Des Moines Downtown Chamber of Commerce today. This was my official welcome email:

Hi Jeff, 
Thank you for joining the Downtown Des Moines Chamber.

I have been wanting to do that since moving into the Teen Challenge Urban Center in 2010. So today I did it. What motivated me? A new grocery store: 



This grocery store is the sight of a previous grocery store whose owner ended up going bankrupt because so many people shoplifted from him. I have met the man behind this start-up many times and I am thankful for his vision. I love success stories, vision and people who are willing to take risks. 

I will be there for the ribbon cutting this Thursday and praying that God will bless this endeavor, that the neighborhood will support it, and that anyone who shoplifts from here will become so convicted by the Holy Spirit that they will be transformed! And if they resist the Holy Spirit than I pray they will be convicted by a court of law.
